OUR HISTORY

The Palmdale Recycled Water Authority (PRWA) was created in 2012 as the result of an agreement between the City of Palmdale and the Palmdale Water District. As a joint powers authority, PRWA manages recycled water resources within Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County Nos. 14 and 20 for all beneficial uses, including irrigation and aquifer recharge.

PRWA contributes to the drinking water supply and improves reliability by reducing reliance on imported water and providing a source of water for groundwater recharge.

SERVICE AREA

PRWA serves more than 110,000 people across nearly a 40-square-mile area of Palmdale located primarily south of Avenue P and east of the 14 Freeway. The map below shows the PRWA boundaries.
